Every Journey Looks Different — Here's What Real Change Looks Like
No two clients start in the same place, and no two journeys look the same.
What you'll find below are real stories from real clients — the habits they changed, the challenges they worked through, and the results that came from consistency, not quick fixes.
These aren't before-and-after photos. They're the honest, real & human process of building something that lasts.

Carol - Rebuilding Habits at 67
When Carole first came to me, food had become a habit of convenience rather than nourishment — toast on the go, old patterns she'd fallen back into more often than she wanted to admit. She missed the woman who used to move, eat, and feel differently, and she was ready to find her again.
We worked together on my Elevate 1:1 Program, focusing not on the number on the scale but on building sustainable habits and long-term health. Strength training had been a real love of hers and she wanted to get back to it with some structure & accountability. During the few months we worked together, she lost 13 inches, reduced her body fat by 4%, and brought her BMI down by 3%.
What mattered most wasn't the scale — it barely moved. It was the shift in her body composition, her strength, and her relationship with food and movement that told the real story.
"I finally feel like I'm building something that lasts, not chasing a number."
Jackie's - Adjusting the Balance, Not the Whole Plate
Jackie came in with clear goals: build strength for everyday life, work toward running a 5k, drop a clothes size from her current 10/12, ditch the unhealthy snacking, and get more protein into her diet.
The nutrition side wasn't a full overhaul it was more about fine-tuning. She was already eating well with plenty of nutritious, whole foods — but as a vegan, her balance of protein, carbs, and fats needed a small shift for her body to respond the way she wanted. We focused on higher protein for muscle tone and fat loss, kept carbs moderate since whole foods were already a strength, and brought fats and sugar down slightly — vegan fats in particular can add up quickly without noticing, and lower sugar helped with cravings and energy. Nothing drastic. Just a rebalance of foods she already enjoyed, with tracking to show her how achievable the targets really were.
The shift paid off. Her body fat dropped from 32% to 30%, she lost 10 inches, and her energy and sleep both improved. She's making healthier choices without it feeling like a fight, she's motivated and enjoying the process, and she now has a clear sense of when she's ready to lift heavier and not just stick with a weight she is comfy with.
"I didn't think small changes could make this much difference — but they have."

Inga - Finding time when there isn't any
Like so many working mums, Inga's biggest challenge wasn't motivation — it was time. Workouts often happened at 10:30pm, whenever the day finally allowed for it. She admitted, honestly, that she'd become passive about her own health, and starting felt daunting.
Her turning point came on holiday in Whitby, looking back at photos she didn't feel comfortable in. She didn't enjoy the trip the way she wanted to — uncomfortable in her body and her clothes, disliking every picture. That was the moment her journey began.
We worked together on my Elevate 1:1, and she was clear about what she wanted: to feel like she'd moved and sweated, without heavy weight training. Strength HIIT became her thing. Alongside that, we started walking — school pickup walks while the kids were at after-school club, family walks in the holidays that slowly, naturally, turned into a little jog. All of it had to fit around a full-time job and four after-school activities a week for her daughters, one of them 35 miles away... but the flexibility of the programme meant it worked with her life, not against it.
Nutrition changed gradually too. Rather than cutting things out overnight, we worked on her relationship with sweet food — until "just one biscuit instead of the whole packet" became something she could actually do, not just aim for.
The results came in waves, not a straight line. 4kg down, then a plateau. Then another 1kg. Eleven months in, she's 9kg down — and this year, a second trip to Whitby told a different story: same place, 11 months apart, 9kg lighter, and finally comfortable in the photos.
"I am so very grateful to Jayne for helping me to take control over my life choices and to also enjoy that journey. I now enjoy the workouts and I never thought I would say this!"
Louise - Allergic to Exercise - now she's training for her first 5k run
Louise will be the first to laugh about it — she used to describe herself as "allergic" to exercise. A full-time job, three boys, and a life that left no space for herself meant movement simply wasn't part of the picture. On top of that, balance challenges and a genuine fear of falling even in a body weight squat made the idea of starting even more daunting.
She came to Elevate 1:1 coaching with a clear, short-term goal: her wedding was coming up, and she wanted to feel amazing in her dress. If we're honest, she hadn't planned on sticking around much beyond that.
But something shifted. She discovered she loved the way exercise made her feel — not just look. Walking became a regular part of her life. Strength training built her confidence, balance and all. She started showing up to fitness events, becoming part of a community she never expected to find herself in.
Eighteen months on, the wedding dress goal is a distant memory next to what's followed: 2 stone and 60cm gone, squats with a 20kg bar despite the balance issues that once held her back, and — most surprising of all — she's now running, training for her first 5K.
"I never thought I'd say this, but I actually love how exercise makes me feel."
